What We Stand For

The mission of CASA of Menominee/Marinette is to provide quality volunteer advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect involved with family court to assure each child a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.

Collaboration & Compassion
  • We advocate on behalf of children to ensure every child has a loving and safe environment.

  • We recognize the barriers that families face and respond with compassion.

  • We identify families and children’s strengths so we can advocate for solutions that help overcome obstacles.

  • We recognize the importance of the caregiving bond and work to maintain healthy connections. We advocate for maintaining and building natural support systems.

  • We maintain open communication and engagement with all volunteer advocates and community partners to carry out our mission.

Cultural Competence & Equity
  • We suspend judgment by being accepting, open-minded, and sensitive to our biases in order to promote unity.

  • We respect and celebrate diversity in all its forms. We listen. We learn. We are willing to change and push for change.

Trauma Informed
  • We serve others with a trauma-informed approach for the best interest of the child.

  • We recognize the impact of trauma and the importance of fostering resilience.

  • We attempt to lessen the effects of traumatic experiences by advocating for children.

  • We seek to increase awareness & visibility for CASA so that every child has a caring consistent adult, and a voice in the courtroom.

  • We seek to implement fundraising plans that will sustain our future and break the cycle of generational abuse.
